Sébastien Loeb has scored the victory in the fifth stage of the Dakar after stopping the clock in 2:24:03 arrival in the WP5, the point at which you have placed the final because of the poor state of the region in which you had to spend the second part of the special on by heavy rains in the bolivian altiplano. The French driver has exceeded by 44 seconds to Nani Roma and by 1:31 Stéphane Peterhansel, registry that has served the current winner of the Dakar to climb to the top of the general car category.

With all it has been a day of contrasts and where the navigation has played tricks on several of the pilots head, as was the case in bikes. In this aspect, Giniel de Villiers and Mikko Hirvonen were the first to lose the direction, while Cyril Despres was accused to the problems of open track. Even Sébastien Loeb and Stéphane Peterhansel committed a small error of navigation in different sections of the special, something that allowed Nani Roma to be the only pilot who could discuss the victory to Peugeot. These different errors between leaving the resolution of the special very exciting.

The margin of the riders that made the podium of the special, Cyril Despres is left 10:33 minutes in WP5. The top five completed Romain Dumas, in the first stage, in which the pilot has been able to shine. Conrad Rautenbach and Eric Bernard ended for its part the special in sixth and seventh position, improving the records of ‘Orly’ Newfoundland and Jakub Przygonski.
