Hyundai i30 N Turbo: this prototype development will participate in the 24h of Nürburgring 2016
Hyundai compete in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring 2016 with three cars. The German race of endurance will take place between the 26th and the 29th of may, and for Hyundai Engine will be an important test of tests for the development of their models of production: in particular, the future Hyundai i30 N.
The first of three drives that Hyundai will put on the asphalt of the Nordschleife will be a i30 1.6 Turbo, whose dorsal #133 will defend the victory in its category in the last edition of the race. Also racing the Hyundai Veloster (#134), adjacent to the most prominent of them all, the Hyundai i30 N Turbo (#102).
This Hyundai i30 N will be a car development, and its participation in the 24h of Nürburgring 2016 is motivated to extract important data and conclusions with a view to later release as a production model, as well as testing under very harsh conditions of the future technologies that we will see in the sports models of the division Hyundai N Performance.
In the words of Albert Biermann, head of testing and development of high performance vehicles at Hyundai Motor, “24h Nürburgring will be the test bench, ideal for the development of our sub-brand N-inspired by motorsport. The inspiration of technology and the experience gained in this extreme test will accelerate the development of our division and high-performance models N focused on the driving“.
The past month of September 2015 is presented by the division, Hyundai N Performance, and one of their models will be exactly the future Hyundai i30 N production. Nearly 40% of the model is from new development, including its engine 2.0 Turbo four-cylinder engine, transmission, suspension and aerodynamics specific to your body. Seek to become one of the compact sports reference, even though its rivals are many and very skilled.
