The brand was founded by Ferdinando Innocenti at the end of the Second World War. Between their vehicles more remembered is the 950 Spider a car that made its debut at the motor show of Turin in the year 1960. But without a doubt their biggest event Innocenti found it with the Mini 1000 and the Mini 1001, a car developed under license from Mini Minor.
In the year 1976, the company was acquired by the argentine entrepreneur Alejandro de Tomaso, whom he renamed it as ‘Nuova Innocenti’. Under the command of De Tomaso, who at that time was also a proletarian of Maserati, was born on the Mini designed by Bertone, in its turbo version was one of the cars most successful of the Italian company.
But in 1997 Innocenti ceased definitively its activities, and now 20 years later, the brand is ready to be relaunched on the Italian market and international, thanks to their new owners: Industrie Riunite SpA, Euro Mobile International BV, Finambiente Group SpA and the family Perrotta.
