Pininfarina and Iran Khodro signed a major collaboration agreement to produce a new platform.
Since Pininfarina was acquired by Mahindra and passed to be part of such a group, the Italian firm has a substantial support that is allowing it to tackle different types of projects and expand your portfolio of clients. The recent agreement that Pininfarina has signed with Iran Khodro is a clear example of this. Both companies will work together in the development of a new platform.
Iran Khodro (IKCO), one of the major car companies that we find in Iran, will cooperate with Pininfarina in the production of a new architecture that will be used in future models of the iranian company. To be able to do this project, you will face an investment of, approximately, 70 million euros and the duration will be 36 months.
new modular platform that will be developed will be used in, minimum, to four models. The first of them will be a vehicle of average size and although it is not clear what type of body you have, there is talk of a sedan or even an SUV. Iran Khodro and Pininfarina will have to face tasks such as the definition of the conceptual architecture and its development, the implementation of the initial concept of the design that will have the car and its validation through a process of both virtual and physical.

In recent times we are seeing as Pininfarina has recourse to numerous collaborations with other companies to embark on various projects like the realization of a production version of the Pininfarina H600 Concept, a model that we see in the pictures that accompany this article. It will be possible thanks to the signed agreement with Hybrid Kinetic Group and it is expected that the final model see the light in the year 2020.
