The new Ascent continues their road tests.
These are the new images of the future three-row SUV seats Subaru, which still has no name confirmed, but that all the media referred to as Ascent. This name was registered at the end of the last summer of 2016, although the brand also had other denominations, such as Cypress, Ascent 7, Ascent Seven, Sojourn, and Venterra.
at the moment, its denomination accepted is the Ascent, in spite of the obvious similar with the name Accent, the property of Hyundai.
The new Ascent shall be the replacement of the failed Tribeca in the north american market, where it was eliminated in 2014. The new model tries to recover the lost space in the segment, where the references are models like the Toyota Highlander, Ford Explorer or the Honda Pilot. It will be manufactured at the plant of the brand in Indiana, USA.

As we can see in this series of spy photos, the model continues its development very well camouflaged, although it is appreciated since the new design, much more conventional than its predecessor in the segment, and more similar to other products of the japanese brand, as the Forester. This new body style will have more space inside, especially in the third row of seats.
Although it is very complex to glimpse his features with such a large amount of camouflage, their forms invite us to think that it will have aesthetic that exploits their robustness, visual, as is usual in the segment.
This new model will be equipped with the new global platform Subaru, that allows it to be used for models of various sizes with a gain in weight and allowing new schemas mechanics, as a possible hybrid version.
