Renault has been the brand most sold in Spain in 2016
car sales in Spain added its fourth consecutive year of growth with 1.153.654 units reached in 2016, according to data from the National Association of Importers of Cars, Trucks, Buses and Motorcycles (ANIACAM). This is the highest figure since 2008, good news for the sector.
In this way, the last exercise involves a increase of 10.8% with respect to 2015, although this rise in sales to individuals are the less influence they have had since they have been in a 6.3% rise. The Seat Ibiza returns to occupy the second position in the ranking. The top 5 closes the Renault Clio, a model that received a restyling in mid-year and that has been surpassed by only six units to the Volkswagen Golf. Both the Golf as the Dacia Sandero (8th) are the only models in the Top 10 that get less sales this year than the previous.
The Seat Leon repeats itself as the market leader
The seventh square Nissan Qashqai provides the best result for an SUV, being clearly above the Hyundai Tucson (14) and the Kia Sportage (16th). Between the crossovers urban the winner is the Renault Capture (13th), although the Opel Mokka (17) and the Peugeot 2008 (18) do not put things easy.
Citroen C4 Picasso shows its hegemony unchallenged in the segment of minivans. Among manufacturers, we find many changes with regard to 2015. The brand that reigned that year, Volkswagen, has not maintained its leadership in 2016 being relegated to the third position.
