But this fact has a special importance when we enter into January, as we leave behind the past year and we can make a profound balance on the behavior of the automobile industry to 2016 in Spain, so we are going to focus primarily on data for the year.
The records do not lie, and this 2016 has been the best year since we took account of the deep economic crisis in which we are still. Something more behind have been the Volkswagen Golf and the Opel Corsa, with 28.678 and 26.897 sales respectively.
In terms of the market share by type of fuel, continues to win the diesel. The cars powered by diesel have represented the 56,8 % of the passenger cars sold in 2016. Vehicles gas, which reached their highest point in June, have finally represented the 40.2 per cent., only the 3 % of the cars sold in Spain during the last 12 months have been electric and hybrid.
