Kevin Magnussen has come back with desire to the Formula 1. After being confirmed as the official pilot of Renault Sport F1 Team at the expense of Pastor Maldonado, the dane has begun his career with the French team with very good standing. After completing 153 laps at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and to be more rider active on the track, Magnussen has closed the first week of test in the fourth position of the time table after scoring a time of 1:25.263 equipping the soft tyres. Although the day ended with a red flag, all the news is good and positive feelings for the ex-pilot of Mclaren.

Kevin Magnussen has had different tasks throughout the day that have gone from the analysis of different aerodynamic configurations in the R. S. 16 up to try different settings in the car. However, the main work has been to conduct a mock full-race, including the relevant pit stops. After this work, Magnussen was satisfied: “I’ve had a session of testing, very complete. In the last couple of days I have completed over 260 laps. It feels good to be back in a Formula 1 car and have a defined work program”.

The dane is happy and although he has closed the test with a red flag to stop his Renault R. S. 16 by a technical issue, the words of Magnussen can not be more positive: We’ve made great progress. Our race simulation went well and I am really satisfied with the team. It is a real pleasure to be driving here and can’t wait to be back on the car next Tuesday”. Kevin Magnussen will take the single-seater French during the first two days of tests next week, giving subsequently the baton on to his teammate Jolyon Palmer.
