Tafter several decades of neglect, there are already doubts that Fiat has decided to initiate a rescue project of the brand Abarth. Proof of this is the latest initiative of FCA: a centre specifically designed to collect the history of the brand of the scorpion, which they called Abarth Classiche.
The first step of this project, has been the presentation of a new center for the restoration of classic models, located in the city of Torino. There has centralized all the information related to the brand Abarth, reconstructing the history of all the models thanks to the organization, digitization and cataloging of a tremendous amount of information, which includes graphics and technical drawings that will be essential for the restoration of the cars, and you in addition will allow owners, to achieve the certification of authenticity, just another of the functions that will provide Abarth Classiche.
Abarth Classiche will participate in the restoration of all the vehicles of the brand, both the competition as the production, even the of the brand Lancia.
Thanks to the support of SO (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) and FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens), the owners of classic cars Abarth, will now be able to have information and the documentation of first-hand to the restoration of the cars. This new division will also create the Log Abarth, with the purpose of grouping the users of the brand, through events and racing of historic cars.
in Addition, the Abarth Classiche will work as a museum, in which we can review the complete history of the brand, which started in 1949 and reaches up to 1971, the year of its acquisition by Fiat.
