If you thought the old Chevrolet Spark would disappear in the mexican market after the arrival of its new generation, you were wrong. This is the new Spark Classic.
Hace a few days Enrique I told you about the arrival of the new generation of the Chevrolet Spark in Mexico. The small subcompact received a new design and a larger equipment, but all these developments came in addition to a higher price.
But General Motors decided at the same time continue to be marketed to the model of the previous generation, which now have been baptized with Spark Classic. It is a common practice in Latin america, where the new generations live side by side with the previous, something that even has already happened with the products of the brand Chevrolet in the mexican market.
The range of Chevrolet Spark Classic to Mexico is articulated on the basis of four trim versions called LS, LT, LTZ and special series DOT. Among its items of standard equipment version LS includes heating, back spoiler, bumper, all painted in the same color as the bodywork, mirrors and door handles in black color and wheels stamped steel 14-inch.
The finish LT adds to the above the air conditioning, rear defroster, sound system with CD player, MP3, aux input and USB connector, and alloy wheels of 14 inches.
The LTZ adds ABS brakes with EBD, dual airbags front, multifunction steering wheel, mirrors and door handles painted in the body colour, rear spoiler with light braking warning LED, rails on the ceiling with finish colour satin silver, electric mirrors, lift crystals electric and central locking.
finally is the special series DOT, which simply adds a series of stickers on the bodywork of a car, try to give a look more dynamic, while keeping the same envelope that the finish LTZ.
Under the hood there are no new developments, since it uses the same engine with block 1.2-liter engine, which produces 81 horsepower, associated to a manual change of five speeds.
The suggested prices of the Chevrolet Spark Classic for Mexico are the following:
- Chevrolet Spark Classic LS 128.400 pesos (7.618$)
- Chevrolet Spark Classic LT 141.700 pesos (8.407$)
- Chevrolet Spark Classic LTZ 168.000 pesos (9.968$)
- Chevrolet Spark Classic DOT of 175,000 pesos (10.383$)
