It is not a secret that Andreas Mikkelsen has very few options to compete with a World Rally Car of new generation. The pilot
Norwegian has seen as Sébastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala will have closed two
options for the future and the filtration of the first entry list of the Rally
Monte carlo does no more than highlight this fact. However, Andreas
Mikkelsen is registered at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia R5, giving a step
back to get at the controls of a vehicle RC2, something that was not in the WRC since the
soldiered on with the Skoda Fabia S2000 in the colors of Volkswagen in 2012.
While Andreas Mikkelsen remains in active with the Skoda Fabia R5 to the standby if there is any chance of last time, this filtered list of the Rally of Monte-carlo also reveals some interesting details. For example, Craig Breen inscribed with a Citroën DS3 WRC 2016, the entire time that the two Citroën C3 WRC for 2017 are available for Kris Meeke and Stéphane Lefebvre. In turn, Jourdan Serderidis figure as the first participant of the WRC Trophy at the controls of another drive in the Citroën DS3 WRC which is understood to have been rented at PH Sport.
Also noteworthy is the presence of a number of Abarth 124 R-GT in what will be the debut in the WRC this model. Although Luca Betti and Gabriele Noberasco will pilot two units of this model, the main focus of attention will be on the Abarth 124 R-GT that will be used by Francois Delecour and belongs to the Team of Milano. Also, the list of participants reveals that the presence already confirmed of Dani Sordo at the wheel of the Hyundai i20 WRC 2017 is in addition to the participation of other two Spanish riders. Are Surhayen Pernía with the Renault Clio RS and Pepe Lopez, that competes with the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 in Calm Competició.
