The 19th of June, died the actor Anton Yelchin, age 27, known for his recent roles in the series Star Trek playing the character of Pavel Chekov. Friends of the actor was found dead in his home, run over by his car, a Jeep Grand Cherokee.All the research suggests that it is an accident, likely caused by a known defect of the SUV.
FCA has already called to review several models, among which is the Jeep Grand Cherokee, by a selector, automatic change confusing, which can make the car not be properly secured when parked. Apparently, Anton Yelchin got out of his car leaving the gear lever on N position and without applying the parking brake, as a result of which the car is moving only, with such bad luck hitting the actor against the wall bricks of your mailbox.

The authorities have already confirmed that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Yelchin was one of the affected models by the call to review. Have already been accounted for 41 incidents related to the problem, but Anton Yelchin is the first death caused by these selectors change that can be confusing.
