Aston Martin DB11 steering Wheel 2018: rolling almost bare at the Nürburgring

Aston Martin uncovers something more the new DB11 steering Wheel at the Nürburgring.

The arrival of good weather brings us back to the activity at the Nürburgring. One of the last protagonists of the German track has not been none other than the new Aston Martin DB11 steering Wheel, the open version of the DB11, which is already available at dealerships from the elite british brand.

This is not the first occasion on which we see one of the test units of this open version of the Great british tourists, but to its passage through the Ring, the DB11 steering Wheel has lost some of camouflage with regard to other sightings.

Like the BMW M5 which I loved just a few hours, also lost some of its camouflage usual during his last visit to the German track, the DB11 steering Wheel shows a costume considerably less cumbersome. The front is completely bare, that by which we see is identical to that of the DB11 coupe, and in the rear, the area that is most have been concerned to hide the engineers of Aston, since you only have the vinyls with patterns in white and black.

The rear area still has vinyl.

In the first images that we saw of this model found a camouflage quite deeper, who came to hide even the steps of wheels in the rear. Remember that the Aston Martin DB11 coupe has a curious design on the back stile, type, pillar floating, so the Aston Martin engineers did not want to disclose the new figure of the DB11 Steering now that the rear pillar had disappeared.

In terms of the technical section, the new variant convertible range DB11 should not present differences with respect to the version of the coupé, the steering Wheel will have the same mechanical outline of the coupe, which at the moment account with the V12 biturbo engine of 5.2 liters that delivers 608 HP and 700 Nm of torque, associated to an automatic transmission of 8 relations. Though later it is expected the introduction of a variant with engine twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG, although it is not yet clear the date of arrival of this version.

What is for sure is that the new DB11 steering Wheel 2018 will in the spring of next year, but there is no official date for the moment.
