Some statements of Patrice Ratti, CEO Renault Sport Technologies, the British magazine Autocar made us think that the future of Renault Sport may be hybrid. Although Ratti not assure that this is the way forward for Renault RS it acknowledges that the brand has not closed that door and even be working on this possibility. Whereupon I could not help remembering that less than a year ago we put them behind the wheel of a prototype, a priori or sporty looks, nor is it a pure strain RS (see test Renault Eolab). And against all odds and gave us the keys to how it could be that hybrid RS future of Renault .
The Renault Eolab was presented with a clear pledge. Inside hid 100 innovations , some of which have not yet been explained in much detail – as its innovative transmission three relationships – and Renault keep them in a safe place, perhaps aware that the Day tomorrow they can play a key role in its product range. And that promise was none other than the fact that 30 of those 100 are in final product innovations in 2016, a total of 50 in 2018 and a total of 90 in 2022 .

The Renault Eolab surprised us and enjoy a sporty feel , in his address, to his energetic thrust, or even in the driving seat. And we tell you that we would not dare to say that this prototype RS deserved the appellation, but it seemed like a peculiar GTI come from the future to anticipate what will drive most likely within five years.
Surprising that feels the future of Renault Sport could settle for less power than current models . Something that basically we welcomes sanity arrives at a time in which a small-GTI or a sports compact seem to have no future with less than 200 and 300 hp, respectively.
