While the entire world is aware of the advances that make the big brands in electric mobility or the recent arrival of the Tesla Model 3, there is a small mark that it leaves the tangent, and is proclaimed as the creator of the Billinger B1, an off-road electric with a very particular style.
the vehicle, , whose form is reminiscent of the Jeep of old, has been presented in the Club of Classic Cars of Manhattan, in the USA. The slogan that has used the brand to launch it has been “the first all-terrain electric all-wheel drive switchable”. Among the impressive features of this car are a batteries of up to 100 kWh, that is to say, with the same capacity as the powerful Tesla Model S P100D.
the capabilities of The Bollinger B1
According to the brand, the Bollinger B1 will have two different versions. The first will have a battery of 60 kWh that will allow you to go 193 km with a single charge and the second with the above-mentioned battery 100 kWh, that will expand your autonomy up to 320 km. Both versions will have an engine of 360 HP and 640 Nm with you that will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and reach up to 204 km/h of maximum speed. According to the brand, the charging time of the battery of 60 kWh will be 45 minutes on a rapid charger that is similar to the Supercharger Tesla, while that of 100 kWh it will take 75 minutes.
Currently there are electric models that far exceed these marks. Just look at the numbers that promise to other cars such as the Faraday Future FF91 or the Dubuc Tomahawk. But what makes the Bollinger B1 of the others, is that it is a vehicle completely prepared to face the difficulties of the terrain off the road. Measured is 3.81 m long, 1,94 wide and 1,87 tall, and weighs about 1,800 kg (battery of 60 kWh) with a weight distribution 50/50 between the axles. The house Bollinger plans to begin to sell the B1 in February 2019, but is still in talks with the manufacturers that are responsible for the various parts of the car.
