Ross Brawn knows Ferrari and what it means to have the need to deliver results to the press and fans Italian. The most relevant brand on the planet – at least in the world of automotive – exerts a pressure that not all of their workers are prepared to support.

Ross Brawn got to break a spell of 21 years without winning the drivers ‘ championship title along with Jean Todt, Michael Schumacher and Rory Byrne. Therefore, know well what Ferrari needs to repeat that success.

“Only need to be stabilized and progressively work, try to isolate a little of the pressure that always exists at Ferrari from the press and the fans. Someone needs to be the firewall to allow the rest to do their job properly, to enable them to be creative and productive without worrying about the consequences”.

Sergio Marchionne is, according to Brawn, part of the problem because it involves in excess on the computer and does not allow freedom and courage to take decisions. Something that, according to Brawn, Luca di Montezemolo made to the perfection because, even though he was aware of everything, not interfered at all.

it Is a different approach that I would take. If there is a gap in the middle, I guess people jumps over. If there is no structure to give confidence to the address that the equipment is being handled properly, then the tendency of people is to get involved themselves.”

“The good news of Luca (Montezemolo) is that I wanted to know what was going on and was very passionate, but always maintained the distances because I had confidence that we were doing the right thing. I would prefer Sergio (Marchionne) is not done (engaging in excess in the Formula 1 team), but I think that they’re doing it because you don’t see an alternative. It is the natural consequence of having a vacuum in the middle”.
