C-NCAP conducted on China impact testing of the second generation Chery Tiggo . The model received the highest score 5 stars , although too many details of those results will not be disseminated.
C hina NCAP, the organization that assesses the safety of Chinese vehicles, held a new round of crash tests. Among the vehicles tested the new generation of SUV Chery Tiggo, which certification achieved the maximum 5-star safety , with a score of 52.9 points was found.
The Chery Tiggo scored five stars in the impact test.
Among all tested elements, the Tiggo scored full marks tests on deformable barrier impact and whiplash seat. He also achieved a good performance in the frontal impact test. The information provided by C-NCAP does not go much beyond that , which is not much considering we have not circulated the corresponding video.
However Chery has released an official statement , which also indicates further details about the test result, but simply lists the security features available as standard or optional equipment, including which are the Multiple airbags seatbelts with pre-tensioners and pyrotechnic electronic stability control ESP .
The unit tested by the body corresponds to the new Chery Tiggo5, presented by the end of 2013. This is the second generation compact SUV, which was shown as a prototype under the Hall of Shanghai of the same year.
The model will be produced from this year’s Brazilian plant in the city of Jacareí in São Paulo .
