In the year 2013 came on the market the Citroen C4 Picasso of the second generation, one of the most successful models of the French manufacturer. Shortly after followed his brother of seven-seater, the Citroën Grand C4 Picasso. Now these two models will face what is left of 2016 and your second half of the cycle of life with a restyling that brings cosmetic changes, equipment and mechanics so that these models continue to be attractive to the competition and leading the market of mpvs.
The first thing that is perceived are the changes in the outside of the Citroën C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso 2016. In the front now the two models share the same front (before there were slight differences). Take a few lighthouses more stylized and a bumper new bill that incorporates a few chrome accents around the antinieblas and a grille is now split into two parts, one between the headlights main and another between the fog lights. At the back the changes are more discrete, premiering a new internal design for the pilot 3D of the simpler versions, while the more high-end preserved the 3D lighting LED. The chevrones are updated, renamed to black color with chrome around it. There are also new designs in alloy wheels of 17″. The color palette adds a new shade of blue, a grey and a white sandy.
The customization of the exterior is another of the arguments for the new Citroën C4 Picasso 2016. The smaller model may have the roof in contrast color black, along with the mirror housings. Also the Grand C4 Picasso now offers the roof bows in silver-colored, more clear than before. These two options allow you to add a touch of color and personality in the minivan French.
New environments for the interior and more connectivity
There are new environments for the interior
On the inside the changes are less notable. The range C4 Picasso 2016 offers four new indoor environments. Series the dark gray is the protagonist in the interior, although optionally the Wild Blue brings color to the central zone of the seats, in blue, in addition to chrome accents on the dashboard and front seats with massage. The environment Dune Beige comes associated with the Pack Lounge, with clear shades and seats with headrest comfort, in addition to having the airbag with a seat with a footrest. The environment Hype Grey is the most elegant and sober, combining details grey with black.
7″ touch screen in the dashboard is updated, with capacitive technology and a new interface. The communication with the central screen of 12″ that makes the dashboard has also been optimized to offer a better user experience. The multimedia equipment will include new features such as Android Auto, Apple Carplay and MirrorLink. Also updated the navigation system, with 3D display and voice control for the GPS.
The range 2016 of the C4 Picasso will incorporate new developments in equipment (according to versions) as tailgate electric handsfree, adaptive cruise control or braking, automatic emergency, in addition to elements already existing such as the warning of involuntary change of lane, the vision cameras 360º or xenon headlamps directional.
New version petrol with automatic change
Of face-to-2016, the new Citroën C4 Picasso debuts gasoline engine with automatic transmission. The 1.2 PureTech 130 HP we can now associate to the automatic gearbox EAT6. With this new version you get an average consumption of 5.1 litres per 100 kilometres and 115 grams of CO2 per kilometre, leaving them exempt from the Registration Tax.
The range gasoline is further complemented with the 1.2 PureTech 110 and 130 HP with manual change of six speeds, and the 1.6 THP 165 HP with automatic change-over in terms of versions of gasoline. Supply diesel includes engine 1.6 BlueHDi 100 and 120 HP, as well as the 2.0 BlueHDi 150 CV. The two more powerful can opt for the automatic change of six relations. All engines have Stop & Start.
