Citroën E-MEHARI, the French met the promise of reviving the Méhari

Citroën E-MEHARIfew months Ago Linda Jackson, CEO of Citroën, said that the brand could daring with a model similar to the Citroën Méhari in its quest to provide different vehicles. The idea attracted us quickly, although we saw it away from the production. Since then, little has been know about the rebirth of the Méhari original of 1968, and beyond the prototype of the Citroën Cactus M.

a moment Ago, Citroën has left us surprised at all to give to know the new Citroën E-MEHARI, a model electric four-seater that tries to revive the spirit of the car beach par excellence. This new model has been born of the collaboration between the PSA Group and the French manufacturer of electric vehicles Bolloré, as already seen the E-MEHARI. Recently, we learned that it would be PSA in charge of the manufacture of the Bolloré Bluesummer. Both will be manufactured in Rennes, and in the case of the Citroën production will begin in the spring.

Citroën E-MEHARIFrom the waist up we found no differences between the Citroën E-MEHARI and the Bolloré Bluesummer. The changes focus on the lower part of the body, where the PSA adopts a design that resembles the Citroën C4 Cactus, at the same time that tries to replicate the Méhari original from the 60s. The body of plastic it is resistant to corrosion and offers a lower maintenance, in addition to withstand small impacts without being damaged.

will Be offered four body colors (blue, orange, yellow, and beige) with the possibility of a removable roof in two pieces of black or red colour. The arches of safety and the windshield, are always of a silvery color. For the interior offer two upholstery fabric with a plastic coating that makes them waterproof, ideal for use as a drive vacation on the beach. One will be beige while the other will be the red with motifs related to water sports.

Citroën E-MEHARIThe electric motor and batteries of the E-MEHARI will provide up to 200 km of autonomy and a maximum speed of 110 km/h. The charging of the batteries is done in eight hours through a plug of conventional 16A.
