Chevrolet expands in Colombia ChevyTaxi range of models, with the addition of an intermediate option which is based on the Chevrolet Sail HB. They also offer the Spark Life and Cobalt.
C hevrolet presented in Colombia to the new range in its supply of taxis, which called ChevyTaxi . With the addition of this new model series, the brand aims to achieve reaching a 20 percent share in this market segment.
The new range of ChevyTaxi models is made up of units based on the Spark Life, Sail hatchback and Cobalt, which are called ChevyTaxi, ChevyTaxi Plus and ChevyTaxi Elite , respectively. All three models offer the possibility of integrating the system called Chevystar Fleets, which provides real time vehicle location by using an integrated browser.
units based in the small Spark Life receive the same aesthetic treatment than the standard model, which includes visual upgrade received recently. Among its recent equipment options, the simplest of ChevyTaxi range offers Air conditioning , driver seat height adjustment, eco-leather upholstery, stereo with MP3 playback capability and remote opening compartment load. Under the hood sits the SMART-TEC engine of 1.0 liter engine, which produces 65 horses , which is associated with a five-speed manual transmission.
The ChevyTaxi based on the Sail plus is the biggest news.
As an intermediate option, the new feature ChevyTaxi Plus , which is based on the Sail HB. These units incorporate among their options of standard equipment the driver airbag, power steering, driver seat height adjustment, upholstery ecocuero, in the driver’s seat combined with fabric, central locking, stereo with capacity play MP3, sump guard and alloy wheels of 14 inches.

The ChevyTaxi Elite meanwhile, builds on the Chevrolet Cobalt and ranks as the most equipped and expensive range. The Elite model uses a 1.8-liter engine with 104 horses , associated with a 5-speed manual transmission.
GM COLMOTORES says its intentions are in place to achieve a monthly 100 units ChevyTaxi. Its main novelty is the ChevyTaxi Plus , which aim to sell 150 units a month, while the Elite ChevyTaxi think they can put 50 units each month. They also offer a guarantee that has been extended to 2 years or 100 thousand kilometers.
