The 2-Series of BMW currently has , many versions within their range. But could still have room for more, as they are considering to create a BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe. These acronyms as we know them because they have been present in the Series 4 and Series 6 models with bodywork coupe of the brand. There would still be enough to get it, as its arrival date would be the year 2018.

What you would get with the new model would be to give something more than practicality the BMW 2-Series, without coming to invade the 3 Series. Increased interior space would be by increasing the distance between axles (currently at 2.69 meters) and taking a configuration of four doors. Would what’s new in the passenger compartment, which would be more sporty and would serve as a precedent for the next 2-Series Coupe and Cabrio.

In addition to the mechanical turbocharged three and four cylinders, would be in addition to the powerful engine of six cylinders and 3.0 liters of the M2. Everything points to that we will also see a BMW M2 Gran Coupe, that would come in 2019 with the same 370 HP of power to tackle rivals such as the Audi RS3 or the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45.

The benefits of the new model would be virtually the same to the of the current. Although the version Gran Coupe could though something more than the 1.570 kg, M2 ‘normal’, its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h could be maintained close to 4.3 seconds. In terms of the maximum speed continues to be electronically limited to 250 km/h. We hope to learn more information of the new BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe, that even in the future could have a hybrid version plug-in with an electric range of 50 kilometers.
