Curling the curl: Mazda will present two MX-5’s ultra-light next week

what we will be surprised by Mazda in the SEMA Show 2015? we Already know that. The image that illustrates this entry is a cryptic preview of two prototypes, the two machines will answer to the name of Mazda MX-5 Spyder Concept and Mazda MX-5 Speedster Concept. As we anticipate the japanese constructor your weight will be very much below the marking on the scale for a Mazda MX-5 series, which is slightly above the ton. Therefore, we are dealing with two machines that are very special and very peculiar, sure we would like to have some day in our garage. Although unfortunately it does not appear that any of the two is going to be produced.

Mazda MX-5 Spyder would try to recapture the spirit of the roadster of yesteryear, with a modern reinterpretation that will include hard-working-trimmed fur and a paint finish in silver-grey that will surely attract glances. The Mazda MX-5 Speedster, for its part, shall have a paint finish the more striking, in blue, and aims to bring to the end the weight savings, by way of tribute roadster minimalists of the sixties. In fact, Mazda we anticipate that by not having will not have even a windshield itself, but a small spoiler, maybe in the line of Mazda MX-5 Superlight Concept 2009.

SEMA Show 2015 will open its doors next week, and will be then when we have images and more details of these prototypes, they would have received parts from manufacturers such as RAYS Wheels, H&R Springs and KW Suspensions.
