Dakar 2016, stage 2: Reactions of the winners

The second stage of the Dakar 2016 has been marked by the mud and left as a new leader in the motorcycle category to Toby Price. The australian rider got his second victory in the Dakar and the first in this issue: “Everything there went well. We have spent a lot of time on the bike, but everything has been perfect. Win a stage is a good step, but there is still a long road ahead to fight for the title. I’m eager to start tomorrow. Tomorrow’s stage may be similar to that of today, with a lot of track and without navigation”.

Ignacio Casale has achieved a notable victory in the category of quads: “I’m very happy. The day has been very good. I felt very strong, with good feelings”. The chilean has excelled in more than 4 minutes to his main rivals for the title: “Today we had to move forward without taking risks. I’ve ridden in and letting myself be lead by my feelings and everything has gone well. But this has not done more to start. There are progress stage to stage. I hope to hold at the physical level, and that the quad remains responsive. I aspired to a place among the first 3 in order to regain the confidence“.

Sébastien Loeb is the star of the day. The frenchman has added to his first stage victory on the Dakar: Has come to a point in time when the track was a quagmire. The viewers I have made gestures, but I’ve gotten fully into a quagmire, but I haven’t lost much time.”. Despite the problems, Loeb has managed to defeat and it showed very positive: I Think that this stage was not for the buggy. Tomorrow we will have the same situation and it will be complicated, because it often happens that the brands of brake let you know if you brake you also”.

Hans Stacey was the last winner in goal. The pilot Dutch has been imposed between the trucks: “The
last time I ran with a MAN I won four special. I’ve had that
go pretty soft at the beginning because there was a lot of dust. I could not bend
to Kolomý, but at once has left me to spend. Last year I won
also the first stage, it is almost a tradition,”
. Stacey also added: “I don’t know what will happen. Andn the Dakar, the most important thing is to not have problems. There are about fifteen trucks that could win. It is a competition fantástica”.
