Dakar 2016, stage 5: Loeb and Peugeot are still unstoppable

This stage has been especially hard, being the second part of a marathon stage, in which the vehicles have not received assistance (have remained in the closed park) and because it has reached the higher altitudes of the history in the Dakar, the 4,600 meters above sea level.

The route between Jujuy and Huanuni has been common for bikes, quads, cars and trucks. Was composed of 314 kilometres of link, virtually all at the beginning, and 327 kilometres of special. This fifth stage of the Dakar 2016 serves to assert ourselves in the good work that he has done the Peugeot team and the good results that they are getting their pilots, with a special mention to the rookie in this sport, Sébastien Loeb.

Dakar 2016 etapa 5In cars has been another of those days of Peugeot. The French have won all the stages and Loeb is making a real carrerón in this first half of the Dakar 2016. Today, Sébastien Loeb has returned to take the stage, followed by his team-mates Sainz and Peterhansel. Nasser Al-Attiyah has been fastest after the Peugeot. De Villiers has placed his Toyota in seventh position and Nani Roma has been tenth. The general is for Peugeot with Loeb at the helm, stéphane Peterhansel second and Sainz third. Despres had problems with his Peugeot and for several kilometres has not been able to exceed 50 km/h.

Kamaz of Nikolaev has today been the fastest, followed by Kolomy and Villagra, this last one is already a leader in the general, with his Iveco. Stacey and her MAN, who have made good stages, have completed today the seventh grade, followed by Gerard de Rooy.
