The seventh day of test in Barcelona has seen Sebastian Vettel grabbed all the attention for the morning session to give a good sample of the power of the Ferrari SF70-H. The German pilot was placed at the front of the table of times with a chrono very similar to the record of Valtteri Bottas set to 1:19.310, but lifting the foot off the accelerator in the straight.

Subsequently, Vettel returned to the track with a new game ultrablandos to reduce the period of the reference Bottas and get a 1:19.164, but again slowing down in the third sector to conceal the true potential of the Ferrari. In a third attempt a few minutes later, Vettel returned to repeat the operation, but reducing a little more the time to leave it at the edge of the 1:18, which clearly did not wanted to get.

it was Not all so raced for McLaren-Honda, that one more day suffered a breakdown, on this occasion, with 30 laps completed by Stoffel Vandoorne. The belgian driver was devoted to making comparisons of aerodynamic and short runs with the MCL32, but all in all the car ended up failing in the straight. Minutes before the banderazo for the lunch break, Vandoorne returned to the track, but the car failed again, and a new red flag had to fly the length and breadth of the circuit.

The rest of the pilots participating in this day morning, it is worth the time gotten by Esteban Ocon, who took the Force India to second place in the provisional table of times, although with tires ultrablandos and a second of the Ferrari of Vettel.

Who was something more discrete in the first few hours activity was Lewis Hamilton, who kept far away from the best times set by the Mercedes W08 and not racked up too many turns to base of long runs. The british pilot was also very active in the second half of the morning, but went to the track with superblandos to set a time of 1:20.018 and, a few minutes later, placed the ultrablandos to mark his personal best time of the test with a time of 1:19.352.
