With the half of the test completed, Paul Di Resta stated: “The new rules will give more flavor to the DTM, being one of the main criteria to give more show to the fans. The most important change are the new tires, in particular because they degrade faster. It will be important to see how they behave during qualifying and the races. What is certain is that it will manage it correctly to get a decent result. In this aspect, I hope that my experience will help me, even the one that I bought with the tires Pirelli in the Formula 1. All in all, the most important thing as I said is to provide a good show”.
In this line, the pilot scottish further added: “Not
we are testing the final configuration of the car, but even now
feel the differences in aerodynamics. For the fans the most visible is the
change in the rear wing. When you activate the DRS, there is a narrow strip which
it opens up and it is something that can be seen more clearly. The cars will be
faster, because in addition we have more power. In addition, the tires will be softer. No blankets to warm the tires, the action in the pits can be accelerated. In general, everything points to that
going to increase the factor of entretenimiento”.
