2015 is a special year for DS, the premium brand of the group PSA Peugeot Citroen. Are met 60 years of the first model in the series, the Citroen DS 19 , known as Shark. It was a car that broke all schemes automotive at the time, all a technological reference for 1955 and remained in production for two decades.
As part of the celebration, DS launches a special edition called 1955 for its three models. The first to be available is DS in March 1955 in both three-door body and the cabrio. This special edition includes an elegant look with a body Encre Blue color with black roof. Anagrams and wheel centers in gold are a nod to the Shark and an element with adhesives Special Edition on the front doors and the tailgate and mirror housings laser etched cleared all doubts about the exclusive model.
Inside we also find specific elements such as the emblem 1955 DS 60 mats and seats as well as a plaque on the dashboard indicating the number of the limited edition. The standard equipment is very complete and already includes elements such as emergency stop in town, xenon headlights and LED , regulator and speed limiter, climate control or browser with parking camera, among other things.
DS will offer two engines for DS in March 1955, depending on the chosen body. Thus, the three-door models are only available with the efficient engine 100 hp 1.6 BlueHDI , associated with manual six relationships. For its part, the convertible will be offered with the engine PureTech 1.2 Turbo 110 hp associated with automatic transmission six-speed newly introduced in the DS range 3.
For the Spanish market price is 22,915 euros for diesel three-door versus 26,615 euros cabrio with gasoline engine and automatic transmission. The only option available in the range is the elegant brown leather upholstery with a somewhat high cost of 3,600 euros.
