Emil Frey Racing to strengthen its presence in the Blancpain GT
Series in 2017, giving way to a full program at the event after competing
in 2016 only in the quotations of the Endurance Cup. In this way, the structure
switzerland will be present at all tests on the calendar, including the
racing in the Sprint, keeping your effort in the face of the 24 Hours of Spa,
where will field two Jaguar XK GT3. For the moment, the training has not revealed
the exact number of cars that will be lined at each appointment, nor the pilots who
will compete in this renewed program in the Blancpain.
The team will start the test with the Jaguar XK GT3 in brief and has not yet taken a decision on a firm basis, it is logical to think that the training switzerland will align a Jaguar in each of the quotes from the Sprint Cup, while in the Endurance Cup, it is possible that yes there is a second drive as already passed in 2016, where the team put in track two Jaguar XK GT3 at the 24 Hours of Spa and Nürburgring. All in all, nor is it at all clear if there will be two drivers fighting for the title all or there will be an alignment different for each mode of racing.
At the level of the pilots, the figure of Lorenz Frey is, in theory, unchanging, in the same way that Christian Klien is a candidate to be able to continue competing in the team after his program in part in 2016, or so he has given to understand the pilot himself. From there, both Stéphane Ortelli as Albert Costa have options to repeat with Emil Frey Racing after the great level that you both showed throughout last season. In regard to the Spanish, Albert Costa was one of the drivers present at the test held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
