E he debuted last May at the Istanbul Motor Show in a sedan that is emerging as the successor Fiat Linea . At the time the prototype was presented with the name Fiat Aegea But a little later the Italian house was commissioned to clarify that name change when the model came into production .
now they announced that the sedan designed by the Fiat Style Centre in Italy, Fiat called it Egea and will be produced by Tofas in Turkey. It is based on the architecture B-Wide of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the same platform that gives life to products like Fiat 500X or the Jeep Renegade, among others.
In anticipation of its launch, Fiat Turkey released a promotional first video , which lets us see part of the production model, showing that its final design no changes of importance in the prototype presented a few months ago back.
The new Fiat Egea will start marketing in Turkey from next November , whereas in 2016 will reach more than 40 countries of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). At a later stage there will also be a variant hatchback and other wagons.
