Fiat and PSA Peugeot Citroën had a collaboration in the area of commercial vehicles from the 70’s, in a larger format: Fiat 242 & Citroen C35. Sevel Nord is located in the French town of Valenciennes. It has a staff of 2,400 employees and is capable of producing 200,000 units a year. In 2002, they had produced a million units. In 2009 we reached the milestone of two million units, achieved in 16 years of activity. In may 2015 it reached two and a half million units.

In 2010, Fiat abandoned production of its minivans Ulysse and Phedra. The economic crisis has impacted negatively on the sales of this type of tourism as at the level of commercial vehicles. The italians decided to lighten up more ballast, and in 2012 they announced the end of their participation in Sevel Nord, sold their part to the French. The latest minivan, the Peugeot 807 and Citroën C8, they stopped manufacturing in 2014.

Almost at the same time it was announced the agreement between PSA Peugeot Citroën and Toyota, for which the French built a commercial for the japanese. Later introduced the Toyota ProAce, which, like the Fiat Scudo, it shares virtually everything with its relatives French. The agreement between PSA and Toyota will last beyond 2020. Recently we met the new generation of vans, will be called Citroën Spacetourer, Peugeot Traveller and Toyota Proace, ready to comply with the standards Euro 6.
