electric cars in a matter of half a decade will change our understanding of the automotive sector. However, and although their batteries are experiencing an increase of autonomy, considerable, continue to cause consumers stress when they have to face a long journey. Therefore manufacturers are joining to believe network of super chargers in which to be able to load their cars when customers make long trips.

The first major alliance at the european level is that they are going to carry out Ford Motor Company, BMW Group, Daimler AG (Mercedes-Benz) and the Group Volkswagen AG. According to an official statement released by Ford, the four manufacturers have the intention of establishing charging stations for electric vehicles along the main roads of Europe. With this initiative their electric vehicles would be more accessible to clients and therefore would reach a greater number of houses.

The main goal they have set for themselves is to build as fast as possible a large number of charging stations so that electric cars can travel long range without having to make stops excessive length. In the press release is picked up that the network would have a power level of up to 350 KWh to be more potent than there are today, working. In this way the load of these electric cars would be much more rapid than today can make.

The works would be planned for the year 2017 and in the plan have been established around 400 charging points along the main roads of Europe. All of this should be working for the year 2020 according to the estimates that have been made by manufacturers. In addition, this network of super chargers would bring about a very important development and it is the connectors for charging the cars of the four manufacturers involved would be the same, creating the first standard and lowering cost of manufacture of the same.

According to Harald Kruger, CEO of BMW Group, “The joint project is another important milestone which clearly demonstrates that competitors are combining their forces to the ramp up of electric mobility”

we Hope that many more brands to join the initiative and electric mobility finally reach without the pocket of the consumers suffer greatly.
