Gary Paffett is one of the voices that are reputable DTM. Even if it is just for her long career in the championship with twelve seasons in active, the british Mercedes driver tends to hit with their approaches, and reflections. It is not a secret that the system of weights of compensation, it has failed in 2015 as there are two races per weekend. There are plans to change the face of 2016 in view of what happened this year. BMW Motorsport has won the constructors ‘ championship in the DTM with the worst car, an idea that keeps Gary Paffett in their latest statements.

Gary Paffett was very clear in this respect: “BMW won the constructors championship with the worst car of this generation. Is something that does not reflect what happened. The question of the burdens of compensation is a great topic of discussion”. In this line of argumentation, Paffett added: “The DTM needs to have exciting races. It has to be fun for the fans, but what is certain is that the races should be won by the best driver and the best team. Is the balance that we need to find. The riders know what they want and there are some things that we are working on the Association of pilots of the DTM”.

The data speak for themselves. BMW Motorsport has been the worst manufacturer by results in four of the nine weekends of competition, being the brand with fewer points in at least seven races. On the contrary, the brand of Munich has only managed to be the best manufacturer during two weekends in Zandvoort and Oschersleben. Those weekends BMW came to bring between 20 and 30 pounds less than the Mercedes and Audi, monopolizing almost all of the first eight positions. Among those four runs totaled 256 points, almost 40% of the point total.
