The BMW 1 Series, signing his best result of 2016

sales of cars in the German market have continued their progression in December with 256.533 units sold, which implies a growth of 3.7%. In the annual accumulated sales have reached the 3.351.607 units, the best result since 2009 and an increase of 4.5% in comparison with 2015.

once again the market has been dominated by the Volkswagen Golf, who keeps his ruthless leadership despite the fact that their sales have dropped 24% in relation to December of 2015. With the arrival of the restyling of its model star, the German brand expects the Golf comes back up as foam.

The big surprise in the data this month has starred in the BMW 1 Series, which has managed to conquer an impressive second place. It is a magnificent result if we consider that throughout the year he had not been able to get in the Top 10 of the ranking, being the 11th square, achieved in June his best result in 2016.

Good performance of the Skoda Octavia

Volkswagen Passat has closed the podium getting a good income to the Mercedes C-Class in its struggle to lead the category of sedans. In fact, the model of the star (8th) has lost four positions compared to November and has been overtaken even by the Skoda Octavia (7), which has improved their sales a bright 21%.

In the ranking of manufacturers, Volkswagen is maintained to the front without difficulty, but again to show a strong decline in demand (-16%). For his part, BMW beats Mercedes to clinch the silver medal. Among the outstanding brands we find Skoda (+25%), Toyota (+43%) and Volvo (+31%).
