Germany warns: the scandal of Volkswagen can be extended to more brands

we Knew that sooner or later was going to happen. That doubt began to be planted on other models, on other manufacturers beyond that of Volkswagen. That does not mean that these models, at the moment, have resorted to illegal techniques such as the outdoor in the TDI Volkswagen in the united States – and, by extension, in the rest of the world. Although in Germany have already made it public that they have detected major discrepancies between the actual measurements, and approval of other models and manufacturers beyond Volkswagen. The shadow of suspicion hangs over an entire industry, that have to face the media coup that has been the case with Volkswagen, and a growing concern in the public opinion regarding the greenhouse gas emissions of our cars.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), the German agency responsible for the registration of motor vehicles, initiated an investigation with the scandal of Volkswagen to determine if there were discrepancies between the actual emissions, and approved, different models (among which also are included some of the Volkswagen group). In total we have analyzed more than 50 cars, of 23 different brands, German and foreign.

The criterion employed to study the emissions of the vehicles selected through different reasoning, from the fact that there are indications that a model may have distorted its approval of emissions, to the importance, commercially, of the product in Germany.

KBA would be analyzed as two-thirds of all the vehicles that you have set. Still has not been announced which models could have shown important discrepancies between the approval testing of NOx that are taking place in bank of rollers, and which are being carried out with mobile equipment, emulating the conditions of real driving, or at least more realistic than those carried out in bank of rollers. The models that have been analyzed are the following:
