In the Salon de Detroit is always presented with a series of new global, but the north american market has a lot of weight in that quote. Detroit is one of the most important events for the american manufacturers, and this year’s GMC will be present with a new model, the new generation of the GMC Acadia, an SUV that brings more than a decade in the market, and that already requires a complete renovation.
The teaser released by the brand reveals some details of the back of the new GMC Acadia. This large SUV (5 metres in the generation outbound) will have LED backlight and the riders will be joined by a chrome in which rests the logo of GMC. Some images of spy that have been seen to date show that the new GMC Acadia will have a large front grille, this being one of the hallmarks of the brand.
GMC Acadia 2013
GMC has scarcely provided data on the GMC Acadia that we’ll see in Detroit, but it is logical to think that this new SUV is based on the platform C1XX that is also used by the Cadillac XT5. The employment of this platform could make the new Acadia is lighter and of smaller dimensions. I would share with the Cadillac XT5 many other things such as the versions of front-wheel drive and total and the range of mechanical, composed by the new engine 3.6 V6 a maximum power of more than 310 horsepower and a smaller 2.0 turbo.
