GP China: Satisfactory Friday for Carlos Sainz in Shanghai

The Spanish Carlos Sainz has started on the right foot with the Grand Prix of China upon a Friday, very productive. The driver from madrid was able to complete a total of 44 laps of the layout of Shanghai between the two sessions, in which over in the 7th and 8th place, respectively, although their time of the Free 2 was three-tenths slower than Max Verstappen.

For Sainz, however, be able to ride with no mechanical problems of any kind is the great positive note: “today has been another Friday rolled for us. We have not had any problem in the car, so that we have been able to complete our entire programme. The Free 1 were a session quite disrupted by the fault of the red flags, but the Free 2 went very well and just the day happy“.

“I Think that would be a Great Prize challenging for all, and I’m waiting for the rest of the weekend, especially for qualifying, which will return to the format antiguo.”

Max Verstappen has shared the good feelings of Sainz. He has also finished the two sessions in the top 10, getting the sixth-best time in the second, a circuit that last year turned out to be bitter for him: “Hhas been good to regain confidence in this path, to see what was new and get a first understanding of the car. The workouts of the morning were a session complicated, because could not do a long run due to red flags. We were leaving, entering, leaving, and returning to the garage again”.

In free practice 2 we were able to do so much more and, although we still have work to do tonight to improve for tomorrow, today we can be satisfied.”
