GP China: the Second line with a taste of disappointment for Ferrari

With the engine problems for Lewis Hamilton in Q1, everything is put in the face to Ferrari. The possibility of a first-line it really seemed feasible, and even for a few minutes Kimi Räikkönen came to dream of his first pole position in almost 8 years. Unfortunately for the finn the improvement of Nico Rosberg, and errors in its turn relegated to the third position, after the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo.

Räikkönen showed visibly unhappy with his last lap, although it gives for a good third place. it Is more a disappointment than anything else: today, we had the opportunity of getting a better result. I don’t know if the pole position would have been possible, but it sure we could have been second easily. In the second-to-last curve I went long and lost a lot of time. It could have been much worse after that error, but we still have in the third place, which is not a bad starting position.

“it Is difficult to predict what will happen tomorrow; depends on many factors, the time and the different tactics of the teams. In the race, things are different; we will try to give the maximum, to be the fastest and we’ll see where it takes us”.

For his part, Sebastian Vettel not had the Q3 most inspired of his career. The German pilot chose to save a game superblandos for the race tomorrow and make a unique attempt, but made some mistakes that will make you come out in fourth position.

The German rider admitted that his attempt was not enough to be over the top: “I don’t think that you deserved to be among the first 3 today. We saved rubber bands, to be able to start tomorrow with the superblandos. I thought I could get it on the last lap, but my only attempt was not special in general. I asked too much of my tires at the beginning, and then I made a couple of small errors here and there, which cost me a lot of time. In the end, my attempt was not very good, but it is what it is, and we can’t change it”.

“anyway, I think that until the time has been a good weekend for us, and I think that tomorrow may be even better. The strategies of career are different from one computer to another, which is interesting. Maybe we can take a chance on exit; the of Australia was very good, so maybe we can repeat it. Our goal is to move from where we are”.
