The hunt continues. Force India has taken another step forward in their fight to snatch Williams in the fourth place (and be the best team behind Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari) thanks to a double on arrival at points in the Grand Prix of Germany. Nico Hülkenberg has been seventh (same result that was obtained in the classification, although the subsequent punishment made him from eighth behind Valtteri Bottas).

Without dropouts among the first six, Hülkenberg admitted that his final post was impossible to improve and highlighted the flexibility of the computer at the time of change of strategy, because the initial plan was to do only two stops.

it Is a good feeling to have achieved the maximum of our scope to add important points. The team did a good job with the strategy, because we felt that two stops were possible, but the degradation was very high and soon the decision was made to change: it was the right thing, and allowed me to get my hands on the seventh place in a race, quite solitary, since Bottas, with the fighting, I was with another strategy.

on the contrary, Sergio Pérez, the tenth to the end, he lost a position with respect to its initial position. The mexican had to recover from a poor exit and he came to the final stretch of the race just outside the points, behind the McLaren of Button and Alonso. With two laps to spare, he was able to get rid of the Spanish yoke, but he lacked time to achieve both the british as the Williams of Bottas, who with his two-stop strategy had come to the last laps almost without rubbers.

Has been the worst out of my career; I skated a lot of wheels and lowered to the position 16, so it was a long battle to recover. Honestly, at that time not believed to be able to score. The team had to improvise to change the strategy. The degradation was very high, in particular towards the ecuador of the race to follow other cars, and I spent a lot of time fighting with Alonso. in The end I was running out of wheels, but I knew that Fernando also, so when I had the chance I knew I had to seize it.

Force India is now only 15 points from Williams in the general classification. For his part, Nico Hülkenberg is now tenth after overtaking Sainz and Grosjean, while Sergio Perez keeps the eighth position.
