GP Russia: Ricciardo: “Yes, we can compete with Williams, you should be fine”

Bad weekend for Red Bull, which has not managed to adapt to the
circuit of Sochi and has seen as Ferrari and Williams have shown
fastest in the classification. In spite of everything, Daniel Ricciardo
points to the team from Grove, as the main goal in the race.
“We’ve earned a position with the sanction of Seb , as well
to start fifth is not so bad and we are about one-tenth
behind Felipe, so it is very tight. The track makes
difficult to get a return good, the grip comes and goes and is not
easy to bring together all sectors but, in general, I’m happy,”
said the australian.

With a Mercedes, a world and Ferrari are too far away also,
Ricciardo aims to beat Bottas and Massa. “If
we can compete with the Williams morning
, it would be well. Not
we have a lot of advantage here because it is a stop,
around the world you can squeeze the tires to stop during the greater
part of the race, so that , you can’t do much with the
. If we can finish in the top five, it will be a
a good result,”

Daniil Kvyat could not shine as much as would have liked in the
race home, getting a discrete eighth square on the grid,
from the that will have Sebastian Vettel as a companion line.
“I Think we could have found something more in Q3, but
unfortunately we did not have time to do the back of
warm-up, so I had to start pulling with the tires
something cold. This has caused me to understeer and cost us some tenths,”
he assured the Russian.
