GP Singapore: Rosberg: “I was told that Ricciardo was going to overtake me in the last laps”

Nico Rosberg has recovered entirely from the four consecutive wins of Lewis Hamilton in the month of July and, with three wins in a row at Spa, Monza and Marina Bay, is put back as the leader of the championship with eight points of margin.

Rosberg came out very well and has managed to preserve its privileged position output, managing from then on the race according to their needs. “it Has been an amazing weekend for me. Yesterday with the return of the pole, and today with a great output. We knew that was going to be very tight, but I’m very happy. I’m not focused on the points, I’m just happy to have won today”, stated an elated Nico Rosberg.

The final phase of the race was very interesting, with Nico holding in the first place with his strategy of three stops and Daniel Ricciardo made up ground at the rate of two seconds per lap with his tyres superblandos new. “With ten or fifteen laps to finish, after the pit-stop (Ricciardo), told me that he would be with me at the end of the race, as was the case. I had to be concentrated and do everything right, it worked. The tires arrived very fair, so I’m very happy. At the time I started the last lap, I knew it was enough because his tyres were not fresh”.

Rosberg managed to retain his calm to get the eighth victory of the season and extend their winning streak at the end of this summer.
