Haas will not test the brakes to Carbone Industrie before Bahrain

Romain Grosjean is living an ordeal with the Brembo brakes who uses the computer Haas, something that comes from the last third of the season 2016. The French rider came to have the last year of an accident and abandonment due to this cause, something that also suffered Esteban Gutierrez.

however, Haas has not put solution to this at the moment and, although Kevin Magnussen has not reported any problems with the discs of the Brembo, Romain Grosjean has asked the team to make tests with Carbone Industrie, as it did in the Great Prize of Brazil of 2016. “I can Not live with the weight of the brake problems. Clearly it’s key for me and I am suffering a lot for it. Now, we will try to work as best as possible with the people of Brembo to find solutions”, ” said the frenchman in a statement picked up by Autosport.

Gunther Steiner, Head of the u.s. team, has said that very possibly the Bahrain Grand Prix is the weekend chosen to test the Carbone Industrie. “Maybe let’s try in Bahrain. We have some things in production, but need time. In the short term we have a solution that is not ideal, but at least it is safe”. The time required to which Steiner refers is the one that is needed to readjust the elements related to the brakes, so Carbone Industrie uses the maximum thickness that allows the regulation: 32 millimeters, by the 28 of Brembo in line with what is used in 2016.
