Lewis Hamilton will come out in first place ahead of Nico Rosberg after razing the circuit record with a lethal 1:34.999. The british exceeded in almost three tenths behind the championship leader, who erred in the key moment. The German had marked the pole in the last two years, but could not repeat, precisely the year that the closer you have to break with the reign of his companion.
The third place went to a Daniel Ricciardo that overtook Max Verstappen at the last moment, for the anger of the Dutch.
Carlos Sainz will start tenth, after passing through the Q3 with an impressive round, while Fernando Alonso will be the twelfth, because that is not spent for very little to the shoot-out final.
Q1: Hamilton shoots first
Lewis Hamilton took a ride in mark the best time of the weekend. The british, as his companion did not use the superblandos in third free, or even gave it a second try, since the performance of this compound is seen as vital for the career. Rosberg, a tenth in this round, not lost sight of.
The surprise of this round was the presence of Nico Hülkenberg after the Red Bull and ahead of Ferrari. Sebastian Vettel expressed his despair with eloquence after failing to pass in the seventh position:

Q2: Mercedes thinks of the race as
The superiority of the Mercedes, and thinking about the race on Sunday allowed them to make their laps with soft tyres to go with them and do the first stints with this compound. That, obviously, did not allow them to lead this round, although they were not left very far away: less than a tenth between the time of Rosberg, who was second, and the Ricciardo, first with tires superblandos used.
Fernando Alonso not bit his tongue. After your first timed lap, momentarily we got into the Q3, complained on the radio of the poor speed that showed his car: “it Would be good not to lose a tenth and a half on the straights”. Despite its good performance, Carlos Sainz improved in the last instant to be the eight and left him out of the last batch.
The time to Sainz with regard to Q1 is not trivial: improved six-tenths of his best lap of the weekend, and without rolling in the third-party free. A almost perfect lap within ‘your league’.
eliminated were Sergio Perez, the cited Alonso, the renewed Daniil Kvyat, Esteban Gutierrez, Jolyon Palmer and Marcus Ericsson.

Q3: Hamilton puts order
In his usual duel with two shots, Lewis Hamilton threw before Nico Rosberg on the first lap of Q3, by just 72 thousandths behind and leaving both to more than half a second Daniel Ricciardo. The 1:35.370 already supposed to be the fastest lap in the history of the Circuit of the Americas, because that has been beaten by three-tenths of the record of Sebastian Vettel that I’d had since 2012.
In the second attempt, from the beginning, saw that Hamilton was much thinner than Rosberg. The leader of the World erred on the entrance on the first curve, and although, in principle, improved by a tenth in the time of the british, this ended up reducing to an inconceivable 1:34.999, which represents the 58th pole position of the race of the English, and ninth of the year.
