Hamilton takes a perfect victory in Silverstone

it was Not the most fun of the year, nor much less, but the one that Lewis Hamilton showed his side more dominant. The british benefited from the problems of tires of the Ferrari at the end, although at no time was endangering his fourth consecutive victory at Silverstone.

Behind Hamilton ended a Valtteri Bottas who made it clear that it is in good conditions to renovate, and a Kimi Räikkönen saved the podium for the italians.

Sainz, KO at the first change

The output you already saw the first incident of the race. Jolyon Palmer was pulled by a breakdown in his car, but much worse was what Carlos Sainz, who stayed out of the race by a touch with his partner Daniil Kvyat in the second round. The Russian was punished with a ‘drive through’ for it. The resulting safety car slowed the momentum of the pilots, while Lewis Hamilton left no doubt to anyone at the front of the test, with Kimi Räikkönen and Max Verstappen behind.

it was Not until the 14th lap of the race when Vettel, in his pursuit for the podium, started the fight with a Verstappen accused several times by radio to move. It was not until the strategy in the pit lane when he came on.

The Hamilton’s advantage was such that he only had to control, no major problems, with Valtteri Bottas behind but with enough distance as to not see jeopardize their leadership, even with the threat of rain.

Fernando Alonso lasted for 34 turns. The pilot spaniard came into the pits to abandon, after a breakdown in his car that he had been allowed to pass from the rear area of the squad. The cry of “no power no power”, the Spanish ended their participation in the GP of Great Britain.

The race, much more bland than expected, ended up with a certain emotion when with ten laps to go Valtteri Bottas came close to Vettel for third place on the podium. The Ferrari endured as he could, but the Finnish Mercedes put him on the third attempt. The finn, who came out very delayed by the penalty of 5 positions to replace the gearbox, he demonstrated an enormous capacity for management of their tyres.

Ferrari stuck with their two cars

After a career comfortable and quite anodyne, in the Ferrari got spicy by the tyre problems. Kimi Räikkönen was overtaken by Valtteri Bottas with six laps to the end, and was just after the that, until now, was the leader of the championship, Sebastian Vettel, who saw how the front tire left him forced to fight for to get back to the pits to put new tires.

however, the victory was never in doubt: Lewis Hamilton not only took the victory, but also with the 7th place finish from Vettel allowed to stay in a point out of the lead.
