Hayden Paddon is on a roll. The new zealander has landed in
the Rally RACC with the renewal under the arm. Paddon will remain in Hyundai up to
2018 and this has been noted in the first contact-making of the pilots.
Hayden Paddon has set the standard in the shakedown of the Rally RACC Catalunya
after making three passes to the small stretch that to the image and likeness of the
rest of the test was a tour mixed, part in land and part in
asphalt. Hayden Paddon has marked a time of 2:07.5 to overcome Sébastien
Ogier and Robert Kubica.
Without pressure and with the desire to renovate their victory in the test, Sebastien Ogier has finished second to two tenths Paddon, while Robert Kubica has been one tenth behind. The Polish has made five passes of the stretch, being the pilot more worker in Salou. Ott Tanak for its part, has been the fourth place, while Dani Sordo finished fifth. The pilot spaniard has made three passes of the stretch completing your time in your last attempt. The spaniard has shown a good pace in these early stages, even leaving his wake of Jari-Matti Latvala.
Much more discreet, has been the performance of Thierry Neuville and Mads
Ostberg. The belgian has finished nearly three seconds from the time of its
mate, while Mads Ostberg has been the tenth-ranked, two
tenths behind the Hyundai i20 WRC. In this chapter, we should mention Kris Meeke disconnected. The irish
completed four passes of the stretch of the shakedown and however your time
it has been almost 20 seconds slower than the time of reference
Paddon. Meeke reserves to attack later.
The shakedown has left a curious sight, on
everything in the section of asphalt. Composed of a long straight and bounded with
a chicane is created with tires, several riders have had some trouble
to ride this curve artificial. In fact, Lorenzo Bertelli has taken by
front tyres in one of his three passes on the stretch, which already
he has limited his pace, remaining in positions delayed. Or the fans who
they were at that point or the Ford Fiesta RS WRC suffered any harm in this
little mishap in the stretch located in the vicinity of Salou
