Hyundai has unveiled in the Korean market the new Hyundai Elantra Sport, known in its home market as the Avante Sport. This model, as we can infer from its name, is the version more sports and high range of the new Hyundai Elantra. It is confirmed that you will come to the united States, appearing the next month of October at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
On the outside, the Hyundai Elantra Sport benefits from a sportier appearance thanks to new bumpers, alloy wheels 18″ with 225/40 tyres, side skirts and a rear bumper with diffuser. In the interior a few sport seats welcome to the occupants of the seats front next to the sports steering wheel and accents in faux carbon fiber and red which bring out the sporty new Elantra.
Is very unlikely that this Hyundai Elantra Sport comes to Europe, where we’ll have to settle for the Elantra 1.6 CRDi 136 HP or the 1.6 petrol 128 horses, the only two engines with the new saloon Korean marketed in the old continent.
The Hyundai Elantra Sport uses the same mechanics that the Kia pro_ceed GT. The engine 1.6 T-GDi delivers 204 horses power to the front wheels, being able to do the 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds. In Korea will be offered both with a manual gearbox six-speed with an automatic dual-clutch seven-speed.
