Hyundai RM16 N Concept, a Veloster modified with a central motor and 300 HP

Hyundai RM16 N ConceptArrives the Hyundai RM16 N Concept, a prototype of a sports brand, a Korean who is born of the division of sports ‘N’. This is to follow in the footsteps of the Hyundai RM14 and RM15, other conceptual models presented years ago and that continued to the same criterion. In these three cases it is a Hyundai Veloster modified, and the initials RM correspond to “Racing Midship”, in other words, central engine.

The RM16 N Concept has just been introduced in the Hall of Busan and keep the same mechanics in the previous prototypes. This means that we will find a engine four-cylinder and 2.0-liter with a turbo electric. It develops a power of 300 CV uy 383 Nm of torque and is linked to a gearbox six-speed manual. The power passes directly to the rear wheels.

Hyundai RM16 N ConceptThe placement of the engine in central position makes the weight distribution to be of 43% front and 57% rear. It will also benefit from elements such as a differential-mail, an exhaust system electronically variable, in addition to a spoiler active mobile that adapts to situations in order to improve its aerodynamics. Although there are no official data, we imagine that its performance will be amazing.

As in the previous prototypes, the Hyundai RM16 N Concept benefits from a body widened with new air intakes to improve cooling. Another of the highlights is that they have completely changed the front headlights and rear headlights for the Veloster, giving a different image. Still have to wait to see if this series of prototypes give rise to a sports production with the last ‘N’.
