Hyundai will launch by 2018 two new SUV small

Hyundai i10 restyling

The segment of the SUV seems to be unstoppable. At first the marks were made up with having a model in this market niche so as not to lose sales compared to its competitors, however it seems that it is “crossoverizando” the market in general. What we have seen in the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 and we will see in more than one model and brand. In this case it is Hyundai will launch two new SUVs small from here to the next year 2018.

According to Dave Zuchowksi, CEO of Hyundai Motor America, the Korean company will launch two new SUVs under the current Tucson. For this to be true for both the Santa Fe as it will grow in size and of this form will accommodate the two new members of the family all the way from the manufacturer. This growth was above of the range will come from the hand of the next generation of the Santa Fe, which will be renamed Santa Fe Sport.

These two new SUVs will arrive to the segment of the urban micro and urban. For now Hyundai is represented on the lower part of the market with the i20 Active. However this model is not a SUV itself and the customers, even though you have been welcomed well, they prefer a car with greater appearance of SUV. Therefore, and in view of the requests of the customers the future generation of the i20 will feature a variant SUV in every rule.

For now nothing is known about their platforms or the foundations that give them life. Hyundai would have to raise the versions of the SUV on the i10 and i20 on a similar basis to not shoot the costs and now both models use different platforms. We will have to wait if the mark prepares the same for both models and their variants on the high or modify that currently bring them to life and adapts to his new situation.

To end, Zuchowksi, has also confirmed that Hyundai wants to renew the upper part of its range SUV before the year 2020. Therefore, if this happens, the Korean manufacturer would be one of the ranges more young people from all manufacturers of cars.
