Isidre Esteve will play the Dakar 2017. The Catalan will return to raid more hard of the world with a car adapted after its last participation in 2009 at the wheel of a SsangYong adapted to his paraplegia. On this occasion it will be uploaded to a Mitsubishi Montero T1 in which it will compete hand in hand with the team KH7 Sport, training that has given their support to the pilot natural Seo de Urgel. His participation in the Dakar comes a decade after the terrible accident suffered by Isidre Esteve in the Baja Almanzora and relegated to a wheelchair.
The experience of Isidre Esteve in the Dakar will be a key factor. Although there are still many details to refine, spaniard Isidre Esteve is full of motivation with this new project with Mitsubishi Montero T1, as explained during the presentation of his program together with KH7 Sport: “I can announce that I will be in the output of the Dakar 2017. When I finished the Dakar in 2009 I thought that there would become more, that this was no longer for me. Thanks to the motor world, disability is not a problem to compete at the highest level. We will go to the Dakar 2017 with a Mitsubishi Montero, and the feeling of having done the homework, even though we know that there are 35 official cars are very competitive and we are a part of a second group”.
