Jaguar will enter the championship of Formula E of the hand of Williams to debut in the third season of this category of cars electric. On the other hand we have also known today that the team Trulli will leave the competition to leave room to Jaguar Land Rover. Trulli came dragging a few problems that require them to get out, something that Alejandro Agag, CEO of Formula E has regretted, but she sees with good eyes the arrival of Jaguar.
Jaguar Land Rover will be supported by the division of advanced engineering and Williams (Williams Advanced ENgineering), a group with which were already associated to the development of sporty Jaguar C-X75 hybrid. Jaguar Land Rover will be able to develop its propulsion system EV, the motor of the car and also the battery technology. In addition they have no intention of buying the structure of Trulli and use their technology, on the contrary will work hard together with Williams to ensure a good job.
Nick Rogers, chief engineer of the british group Jaguar Land Rover, has expressed its commitment to Formula E and its interests of development of technologies respectful with the environment as the electric motors of the future for their cars in the street. For it sees with good eyes the championship to lay the foundations: “The Championship will allow us to design and test our advanced technologies in terms of operation end. In my belief that in the next five years we will see more changes in the automotive world in the last three decades.“.
Rogers adds that “electric vehicles have a wide future to develop and Jaguar Land Rover we are convinced that Formula E will give us a unique opportunity to advance our development of technologies power“. In addition is proud of the return of Jaguar to a competition like the innovative Formula E started the season 2016/2017, leaving this 2015/2016 margin to see that your competitors do.
