Jeep Wrangler 75th Salute: military style for this prototype anniversary

Jeep is anniversary, meeting with a lot of health nothing less than 75 since its birth. July 15, 1941, he presented the Willys MB manufactured by Willys-Overland, which would be supplied to the army of the united States to fight in the Second World War.

Their origins are completely military, but the Willys was soon adapted for civilian use, and would be known throughout the world as the Jeep, making it one of the off-road most popular. Now, the us-based manufacturer will celebrate by creating a ‘one-off’ of his Jeep Wrangler, which pays homage to the original model with a style very military.

Referred to as Jeep Wrangler 75th Salute, is based on the Jeep Wrangler Sport, but it takes many modifications to look more like his grandfather: have removed their doors and B-pillar, adopting bumper metal, along with a new windshield plane -in this case, non-foldable-seats canvas without headrest and spare wheel on its tailgate.

His olive-green military puts another distinctive note in a prototype that will certainly remember the Willys original, with a short distance between axles and tires ‘off-road’ tire veneer 16-inch. With all-wheel drive and low range, the Wrangler 75th Salute maintains the engine 3.6 V6 Pentastar associated with a change six-speed manual.

is Only going to manufacture one unit of this model, in the floor of Jeep in Toledo (Ohio, USA) where we produce all the Wrangler: unfortunately, this Jeep Wrangler 75th Salute will not be on sale nor will it be approved for road, as it would not meet the current safety regulations because of their bumper, or the absence of doors.
